Earned badges
Badges are free and automatic. Nobody can buy one. Each comes from a public record or an FHN check, and each shows its source and check date when you hover or focus it.
Badges are display only. They never move a company up or down beyond the inputs FHN Rank already uses, and they never appear on records we could not match with high confidence.
| Badge | How it is earned | Source |
|---|---|---|
| State License Active | An active Florida license matched to this company in DBPR records. | Florida DBPR license search |
| Clean Record | No CILB disciplinary final order on any of its construction licenses in the last 5 fiscal years. | DBPR CILB discipline reports |
| Years in Florida | Milestones at 5, 10, 20 and 30 years, counted from the Sunbiz filing date or first license issue date. | Florida Sunbiz and DBPR |
| Certified Contractor | Holds a statewide Certified license (passed the state exam), not only a locally Registered one. | Florida DBPR license search |
| Multi-Licensed | Holds two or more distinct active Florida license classes. | Florida DBPR license search |
| Verified Website | The company homepage shows one of its DBPR license numbers, as Florida law requires on contractor advertising. | The company website, checked by FHN |
| Owner Verified | The owner claimed this profile and confirmed control through an email check. | FHN claim records |
| Workers' Comp Verified | Workers' compensation coverage on file with Florida DFS. | Florida DFS coverage search |
How these differ from paid items
- Earned badges are outline chips with a check mark. Free, automatic.
- Verified Licensed (Paid) is an optional paid profile badge, always labeled Paid.
- Sponsor and Featured placements are paid and always labeled. They never change rank.
Google and BBB
Claimed members may show their current Google rating, fetched live from Google when the page loads and never stored. It is not part of FHN Rank. Owners may add a link to their own BBB profile. We do not copy BBB ratings.
