Which inspection does my insurer need?
Ask your agent. A 4-point inspection is usually asked for on older homes, a roof certification on older roofs, and a wind mitigation inspection when you want wind discounts.
Can one inspector do all three?
Yes, if their license qualifies for each form. A licensed home inspector may sign all three, but the wind mitigation form also needs the hurricane mitigation training, so ask before you book.
Can companies pay to rank higher on these pages?
No. Rankings use public records only, and paid placements never change them.
